It's Time...

This lockdown has made me think and rethink a lot of things. I've not written for a long time and i guess writing will keep me preoccupied and i really hope this will keep me busy... so here goes...

30 minutes

Half past 3 still I am not sleepy. Half past 3 when everything is silent. Everything is dark. Peaches is sleeping comfortably on my bed. Well as for me. I am still wide awake. I reflect on what has happened the past few days… hmm the past two months… One thing is for certain, I stopped smoking. Again.. maybe this time.. I won’t be going back, this time I think I am really sure. I shall reflect on this note whenever  I have that urge to smoke again. 3.35 am still nothing.. Tried counting some sheeps, horses, bears, cows, planes, fighter jets, motrocycles, f1 cars and still nothing. 3.45 am still nothing.. Am I overthinking again ? Am I bothered with what I learned? Am I too affected with what’s been said? I stare at the ceiling hoping to find answers… 3.50 am Peaches is having dog dreams.. Peaches is barking softly. Running in her dreams, she might be. Sleep? Still nothing… 3.52 am I closed my eyes. Hoping it would be you that I dream of. ...

I Closed My Eyes

I closed my eyes and... everything seemed so quiet... everything seemed so peaceful... nothing to think of... nothing to worry about... I closed my eyes and... i was alone... i can hear myself breath... i can hear my heartbeat... i was calm... I closed my eyes and... i can pretend i am someone else.. i am somewhere else... i am safe... i closed my eyes and... i wished you were there... i hoped that it was your voice that i'd hear... i prayed that it will be you that i will see... i closed my eyes and.. Nothing... It is you I wish I'd see when I open my eyes. It is you I'd look for. It is your voice I'd want to hear. It is you hand I would want to hold. It is you who I want so say "Everything will be fine. Everything will be ok." Then everything will be better...

The Story of my Life

I have never been this angry in my life.. I was so angry because I was accused of something I did not do.. I would understand how and why people would take advantage of me. I know that people bleed me dry. As long as they can get something out of me, they'll just do it. Bleed me dry, in fact. I've always been nice to people, I've always been good. People are nice to me as well.. that was what I thought. So here we go again.. I've sacrificed, given everything I had and when it came to the point that I can give nothing more... I got insulted, I was even accused of being someone I am not.. " I will not believe anything you say anymore.. "  as you've said. Answer me this... Was it I that talked endlessly to this person every night behind your back? Was it I that engaged in pervert conversations right in front of your face pretending that I don't understand what this person is talking about? Was it I who get to see this so called friend of mi...

Time to Write Again

Famous Quotes from Angry in Dye. "Tell me who your friends are...  and I'll make you realize who my friends are..." " Don't bite the hand that feeds you" " Sorry.. I didn't live up to your expectations." " At least I know where I stand.."

My Fifth Look

It was 2011 when i first saw you. You walked into a restaurant, well probably because you were hungry. i noticed the shirt. I have one like that. I knew we were connected. A year passed before I saw you again. Hardly noticed me. Same here, i don't know you in fact. Yet a tingling sensation made me realize that there is more to it than this. Soon after, you needed my help. I was hesitant at first but I was later convinced that it's time for the Kawawang Kuting Program. I call it guilt management, my friends call it charity. My kutings call it blessings from above, Divine Intervention, as they sometimes refer to it. I forgot the reason why i stopped the Kawawang Kuting Program, and there you were... making my life miserable, making my life sad making me think about a lot of things making me hate life itself using, abusing me yet all were ok why? all because you no longer are the kawawang kuting.. but then again. i may be wrong.. Letting Go..

you said you've moved on.. you said it was over.. yet you still have not gotten over.. Haloed Devil

Trust

Image
The night before I flew to Pakistan, I engaged Hanna (+) in an arguement. She didn't wan't me to go. My reputation probably preceded me.. Come to think of it, I was, let's just say i was a Big Flirt. She was afraid that I'd do something stupid. She accompanied me at the airport the next day and was still adamant that I don't go. I had to... It was a business trip. I had to go to that roadshow. Upon checking in... i glanced back at her. She looked at me and I still remember those sad eyes. Then she said.. TRUST! while holding her heart she waived. Today, she reminded me about it. Yes, I have trust issues only because I've been hurt so much already. As I step towards a new phase in my life, i know that this new found relationship should be built around trust. I know i get jealous most of the time, i know i have trust issues. But people have trusted me with their lives and i know i should trust them as well. Thank you Kawawang Kuting for opening...

The Hobbit - A fundraiser by UPIS Batch 1992

Image
I was really surprised to learn that Ayala Land or Ayala Corp or Ayala... only committed to provide the structure for the new UPIS. Apparently, the chairs, the lab equipment, the tables, the boards and everything inside it would be shouldered by the University, by the people... Thus we appeal to your kind generosity to help us raise the necessary funds. Please support UPIS Batch 1992's Fundraising Activity. For more information, you may get in touch with UPIS Batch 1992 through upis.ninetytwo@gmail.com or you may visit http://upisninetytwo.wix.com/upisninetytwo

The PINOY!!! A Great Read

"Bahala na si Batman!" Enjoy, be Pinoy; Bahala na si Batman By Gilda Cordero-Fernando Inquirer MANILA, Philippines -- Pinoy is what Filipinos call each other, a term of endearment. You're Pinoy from Pilipino just like you're tisoy from mestizo or chinoy from chino. It's a nickname just as Minoy is from Maximo, Ninoy from Benigno, Tinay from Florentina and Kikay from Francisca. But now they're Maxi and Ben and Tintin or Florence and Cheska. You've been called indio, goo-goo, Negro, flip, noypits. Or Filipino, a biscuit that is brown outside and white inside, or a word stricken from the dictionary which means domestic. Ay, lintik! You're Juan de la Cruz or Mang Pandoy. You're common tao, masa, urban poor but also Cecile Licad and Don Jaime, Jose Rizal and Tony Meloto, Shawie and Pacquiao and Nick Joaquin, galing galing. Born June 12, 1896, the Republic of the RP is a Gemini, good at connecting, good at loving-loving, good at texting and interpersona...

The last time I went to Olongapo was in 2000. I had the opportunity to re-visit one of my favorite hangout places in Luzon. Just a three and a half hour drive from Manila, in Lower Kalaklan, Olongapo, is Ocean View. A clean beach resort with unique Philippine architecture, landscaped gardens and a long beachfront. Here are some of the photos of the new and improved.. Back to School

"What is that reason that makes you go back to school? Why do you have to study? Again.." I get to encounter these same questions every time I meet an old friend, a classmate, a batch mate, a neighbor. Though my mom would always say "Hindi ka na natuto tuto, kailangan mo mag aral ulit", i would just laugh it all away. Truth is, I never wanted to go back to school... Yet.. But circumstances made me pursue something, I thought I'd never do again. But here I am... enrolled.. studying. Last Saturday was my last day for this term. Yeah, I am enrolled for 6 units only. (Heck, at this rate, It'll take me forever to finish this). I thought of getting a second degree, a degree in tourism perhaps, but   of course, friends, advised me to take something else. So decided to take up MBA... oh by the way, did I mention I already have a Masters Degree in Management? Going back, last September 8 was my last day of class for my first semester. All I need now is to wa...

The Code of Kalantiaw - Final

Image
After the early wake up call, the long waiting time, the lunch with my good, old friends, and the short tour of Kalibo, off we went to Batan, Aklan. From the port, it was a short boat ride, just like Boracay Island.. much like Boracay Island... Mangroves on the way to Batan  Upon arrival we were met by lots of people on the port and everyone wanted to take us to our destination. Here are some of the sites we saw in Batan, Aklan... One of the Oldest Churches in the Philippines  The Bell Tower I then realized that I should have paid attention when my batch mate was telling us the name of this church.  A closer look The Altar We then proceeded to the Shrine of the Code of Kalantiaw. It feels good to see something that was part of our history. My only frustration was that, the government had stopped the funding for the restoration of this shrine. Reason: Not a Priority.. Well, it's more fun in the Philippines, as the slogan goes.  ...

Where was I? Oh, still in New Washington, somewhere in Aklan... O yes.. in Sampaguita Gardens Resort.. and still with my batch mates from UPIS.. The Doll House (I think) My batchmate Roselyn told us that she has been here and that this place was truly nice... She was right, and for a minimal fee of Php 50.00 you can actually go swimming in their pool. I didn't manage to take photos of the pool as there were so many people swimming. My exposure to the Middle Eastern culture discouraged me from taking photos of people especially if they were wearing revealing swim wear.  Sampaguita Gardens Resort Ticket  Let me take you to a tour of what's inside of the Doll House..  Not only was I amazed of the collection of dolls, but my batch mate Myra felt she was part of the display. The Myra Doll And I had fun too... of course... Byaherong Pinoy fooling around The Doll House was just the initial part of the tour. We went near the beachfront ...

I woke up today asking myself "when was the last time I wrote anything?".When was the last time i updated this blog? Answer: I think ages ago... To be honest, I really have not found the inspiration to write, heck.. I'm really so lazy that procrastination came so natural when I talk about updating this blog. Before anything else... Happy April Fool's Day. I promised myself that come April 1, 2012, I'd be diligent enough to write... And today is April 1, 2012... So I'm off to Batan, Aklan, a small town famous because of Datu Kalantiaw and his Code of Kalantiaw - a collection of 17 laws during the time of the Datu , before the coming of the Spaniards.  The Code of Kalantiaw I woke up very early in the morning as i had to take an hour plane ride to Kalibo, Aklan. My flight was at 8.30 am and i had to be in the airport early. Talk about not wanting to be late. I left around 5.30 and was at the airport at around 6.30 am. Early bird catches...we...

**DID YOU EVER WONDER ...** *Why do supermarkets make the sick walk all the way to the back of the store to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front?* *Why do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries, and a diet coke.* *Why do banks leave vault doors open and then chain the pens to the counters.* *Why do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in our driveways and put our useless junk in the garage. * *Why the sun lightens our hair, but darkens our skin?* *Why can't women put on mascara with their mouth closed?* *Why don't you ever see the headline 'Psychic Wins Lottery'?* *Why is 'abbreviated' such a long word? * *Why is it that doctors call what they do 'practice'?* *Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavoring, and dish washing liquid made with real lemons? * *Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker?* *Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour?* *Why isn't...
